I did a ton of series work in 2017 (32 episodes of 1/2 hour series). The main lesson of the year was: Coverage. The director I worked with the most, Charles Hood, and I talk about coverage all the time. We talk about coverage for episodes we're shooting, of course, but also coverage from masters who we admire. We send clips back and forth, talk about things we want to try, breaks in the 180 rule, etc.

This here is a breakdown I did from one of our episodes of In the Vault. I chose a few of our favorite scenes and talk briefly about our approach.
